New to Web3? How to Enter a Raffle With Just Your Email

RaffleKing is built entirely on-chain. If you're new to Web3, that simply means the full raffle process – from issuing tickets to paying out prizes – is handled on a public, verifiable blockchain, rather than a private backend only we control. We built it this way to bring trust, speed and transparency to a historically opaque game.

In practice, this means:

• Every draw is provably fair and verifiable by anyone.
• Prizes are locked into a smart contract and land instantly when you win.
• You can see who else has been winning.

For some, this sounds great… until you're asked to set up a wallet and secure your seed phrase. We get it: not everyone wants to go down that rabbit hole just to enter a raffle. That's why on RaffleKing, you can get in the game using just your email address.

Here's how it works.

How to sign up with just your email

Signing up with email is straightforward and takes less than a minute. All you have to do is enter your email, set a password, then verify your account through the OTP sent to your inbox.

This email will be sent to you by Reown (formerly Wallet Connect) – a leading Web3 infrastructure company that powers wallets and onboarding for thousands of decentralised applications around the world.

Once verified, Reown automatically creates a Universal Wallet for you behind the scenes. This wallet connects automatically to your RaffleKing account without you having to manage the seed phrase or download a browser extension.

The wallet itself is built on Safe, the same smart account infrastructure trusted by the Ethereum Foundation, VanEck, and some of the largest protocols in DeFi. You can read more about Safe here.

Nobody at RaffleKing can access your wallet. It's managed exclusively by Reown.

What happens when you win?

If you win a raffle that has an EVM prize on the line, like USDC, USDT or ETH, your winnings will land directly in the wallet created for you by Reown.

You can withdraw those winnings to an external wallet by heading to Account Balance in the top right corner, then clicking Send.

Alternatively, you can view and manage funds at secure.reown.com. Click Connect Wallet and log in with the same email (or social account) you used to sign up to RaffleKing, and your wallet and balance will be right there.

From the Reown dashboard you can:

• On-ramp and off-ramp crypto to cash, turning your crypto prizes into money you can spend.
• Send funds to any external wallet or exchange address.
• Swap between supported tokens.

Note: Reown Universal Wallets are EVM-compatible, meaning they support USDC, USDT, and ETH prizes natively. To receive a non-EVM prize, like Bitcoin or Solana, you’ll need to go to Settings and add the relevant wallet address. The RaffleKing team will pay it out within minutes of the draw.

Ready to go further? Graduate to a self-custodial wallet

If you’re feeling comfortable in the space and want to take full control over your wallet, Reown makes that easy too. Their graduation tool lets you migrate your wallet to 500+ self-custodial options, including MetaMask, Phantom and Ledger. It's entirely optional, and there's no rush. Your Reown wallet works perfectly well on its own, but if you ever decide to go deeper into Web3, the path is there.
